The investment is supported by the European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus (EFSD+) guarantee, enabling financing in one of the world's most vulnerable and underserved markets.

OeEB provides USD 25 million to international agricultural commodity trader Robust International. The funds will be used to purchase sesame and cashew nuts directly from smallholders and cooperatives and process them in new facilities in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mozambique.

Together with the Dutch FMO, OeEB is providing EUR 30 million. The funds will be used to finance small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly in the renewable energy and agriculture sectors.

The Impact Report 2024 published today shows the developmental impact of OeEB's projects and how they have made a lasting contribution to improving the quality of life in developing and emerging countries.

OeEB closes the 2024 financial year with a very satisfactory result and numerous partial successes in achieving its strategic goals. On behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), it provided loans and equity investments totalling around EUR 305 million.

Complementing its strategy 2024-2028, OeEB has now published four policy papers to detail and operationalise its strategy in the areas of additionality, technical assistance, Paris Alignment and human rights.
