The project secures comprehensive communication between emergency services (police, firefighters, ambulances...) by constructing a new digital wireless network based on the TETRA standard. Thanks to this network, emergency forces will be able to act more efficiently – not only in disaster situations but also in case of accidents or everyday operations.
The project company Wireless Montenegro will be responsible for the construction and operation of the digital public authority radio network. The state of Montenegro will provide the required civil and technical infrastructure.
Austrian partner
The public-private-partnership project was put out to tender by the government of Montenegro in 2010. The Austrian company EOSS Industries Holding GmbH was awarded the contract in 2011.
