In September 2014, OeEB signed a risk participation with a total value of EUR 5.5 million in connection with a long term loan of KfW. The funds will be used to improve the water supply system in the Bosnian cities Tuzla and Zenica.

The planned measures include the replacement and extension of water and sewerage pipes, the modernisation of wells and water treatment plants as well as the purchase of technical equipment.
This shall help reduce water loss, increase the efficiency and reliability of the water supply system and enhance drinking water quality which sustainably improves the population’s living conditions.
