In December 2014, OeEB provided a EUR 20 million loan to the Industrial Development Bank of Türkiye (TSKB). In May 2023, OeEB increased its commitment by another USD 25 million. The funds will be used for financing renewable energy and energy efficiency investments across Türkiye.

OeEB’s credit line contributes to improving the energy supply and energy efficiency in Türkiye and therefore helps reduce the country’s dependence on expensive fossil fuel imports. Moreover, greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced which contributes to climate protection.
A study financed with OeEB Business Advisory Services funds identified TSKB as an ideal partner for the financing of energy projects in Türkiye.
