In March 2015, OeEB invested EUR 5 million in the Enterprise Expansion Fund (ENEF) – a fund which provides equity finance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the Western Balkans.

ENEF is part of the Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (WB EDIF) platform, which aims at enhancing and supporting access to finance for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises across the Western Balkans.
With targeted and tailored investments in SME with a high growth and expansion potential, along with measures aimed at professionalising the management of these companies, ENEF contributes to strengthening the private sector and helps secure and create jobs.
The fund has a total volume of approximately EUR 50 million.
