In July 2023, OeEB signed a syndicated credit line in the amount of USD 75 million (OeEB share USD 20 million) to CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund LP. ("SIDF"). This credit line is provided by OeEB together with DEG (arranger), PROPARCO and FINNFUND. The loan funds will be made available for sustainable infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, with at least 50% of the loan amount to be used to finance renewable energy projects.

The CIFI Sustainable Infrastructure Debt Fund L.P. ("SIDF") is based in Ontario, Canada, with investment areas in "Social Infrastructure" and "Environmental Infrastructure". It will support infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. The investment manager is CIFI Asset Management Ltd. The fund is to build up a portfolio of around USD 150 million at 1st close (final closing USD 300 million).
The credit line is intended to contribute to the provision of sustainable infrastructure, with a focus on renewable energies, and thus to climate protection in the region by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The OeEB financing share, which is used for renewable energy projects, is eligible for the Austrian climate targets.
