AfricInvest IV provides equity capital and active management services to African businesses in order to help them fully exploit their growth potential. With OeEB's investment, the fund amounts to a total of USD 274 million.
Through its investments, AfricInvest makes an important contribution to long-term, inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Its investments are to create around 3,000 new jobs and contribute significantly to the development of local markets and sectors.
The fund is aimed at companies in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, finance, telecommunications, logistics and manufacturing.
AfricInvest was founded in 1994 and is an established private equity investor on the African continent, having made over 160 investments in 25 African countries through several funds.
