In Central America there is a high need for investments in infrastructure. Around 7 million people don't have access to the electricity network. Renewable energy has great potential.

With a long-term credit line of USD 30 million extended to CABEI, OeEB contributes to improving Central America's infrastructure. The funds will be used to finance private sector infrastructure projects, of which at least 60% will be dedicated to the renewable energy sector.
